Every baby is full of wonder and every mother is full of love
An initial consultation will include a thorough history and assessment of mom and baby that is relevant to breastfeeding. Your baby will be weighed before and after breastfeeding to determine intake at the breast. After observing a breastfeeding, we will formulate a plan of care together. Our goal will be to provide adequate calories for your child while protecting your milk supply. This information will be shared with your pediatrician and your physician if you are experiencing any complications and require follow up with your doctor.
Learning to breastfeed comfortably at home where you feed your baby everyday will enhance your breastfeeding experience for you and your child. Breastfeeding involves skill, technique, knowledge, and confidence. As an IBCLC, I will provide you with the skill set and a feeding plan for you to achieve your breastfeeding goals.
Follow up/office visits:
Follow up visits are helpful to evaluate our plan, make changes and set new goals. Home visits or office visits are available. Sometimes, these consultations are a little shorter because we have already discussed pertinent medical/breastfeeding history at our initial consultation. Office hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Appointments can be made by calling (404)449-5595, email or book on-line.
Feeding Forum Support Group
Support groups are for mothers and babies to spend time in a supportive, nurturing, non-judgmental environment. They are free of charge and open to all mothers and healthy babies. Only women and babies are allowed to attend. Please be sure you and your baby are feeling well. No siblings please. Please join us at the Milton Public Library, 855 Mayfield Road, Milton, GA 30009.
A home consultation is ideal for two babies!
I will help you determine how to feed your babies, individually or tandem. We will develop an individualized feeding plan for you and each baby based on their ability to breastfeed. Our first visit will be discounted $50.00 for each baby and each subsequent visit (if needed) will be a home visit for both babies together. We will continue to work closely over the phone, email, texts as you need help and support.
Breastfeeding one baby can be a challenge, if you have two, breastfeeding will save you so much time and money over the long term. Getting support and help early helps you reach your goals and be successful.
